Fluid Typography Presets

in almost every site I build, I bypass the typography settings in the customizer because I use clamp to help create a better ‘transition to mobile’ user experience for typography. I’m not sure how you would do this, but the fluid typography calculator located here: https://royalfig.github.io/fluid-typography-calculator/ generates the clamp code based on pixel sizes. what if the typography settings were updated to allow us to choose a FLUID text option? I imagine the clamp values could be derived dynamically in the customizer based on our choices for font sizes (example: H1 is set to 56px). Anyway, it would make the calculations easier for users to have that option in addition to what is there now. As always, thanks for listening!

  • Hey Neil,

thanks for creating a feature request. You can already enter em or rem values in all the typography fields. They don’t specifically need to be px (though will fallback to px if only a number is entered).

Try entering 1.25rem for instance 🙂
