Better "Core Web Vitals" by removing jQuery and replacing the icon font file with "SVG" icons
All the “Page Builder Framework” competitors have joined the “jQuery FREE” party, and even the Astra team is currently working on removing jQuery from Astra PRO for its upcoming version. I would love to see “Page Builder Framework” joining the jQuery FREE party also.
The above plus the replacement of the file “page-builder-framework.woff2” file with SVG, should give us a noticeable improvement in the “Core Web Vitals” performance metrics resulting in better SEO and user experience for our website visitors.

SVG’s are coming with the next release! 🎉
Removing jQuery is not currently planned. I see why this is much requested but jQuery isn’t as bad as it’s being portrayed.
Sure, we would save 30-ish kb but it’s a *major* rewrite and we would lose a ton of cool functionality. And while we save 30-ish kb, vanilla JS is usually more to write.
I’m not at all against a jQuery free approach. It’s something we’d like to look into further down the road.
