Page Builder Framework 2.8 is now available! 🎉

Version 2.8 lays the foundation for a better WordPress customizer experience in Page Builder Framework. We have spent the past few months working on Kirki 4 which is responsible the customizer experience in the theme.

Kirki 4 is now live and implemented in Page Builder Framework 2.8.

Changes & Improvements

While pretty much all controls have been revamped, the most noticable change in the customizer is the new Color Picker. It looks much nicer and takes up less space, making the customizer feel lighter and tidier.

Another control that has been greatly improved is the Typography Control.

Notable Fixes

Revamping the typography control also allowed us to work on some long awaited fixes:

• Fixed: Missing fonts when moving a site to a different server or changing the site URL
• Fixed: Custom Fonts font-weights don’t apply

Wrapping Up

While 2.8 doesn’t come with new features, it is a huge under-the-hood update.

It is the foundation for us to build a better & more modern WordPress customizer experience in the future – and that is what we are going to work on next.
