Feature Manager (Ability to Turn Off the Unnecessary Functions)

Sometimes I realize, I don’t want to use some of the functions, so it’s not necessary to load them. Functions like Blog Layout (I use Elementor), Footer (Elementor), Typo settings (SCSS in the child theme), etc. I know, WPBF has only a small number of these “expendable” features (that’s why I like it) and they don’t add much overhead, but… If I had to choose only one feature to turn off, it would be Typography, because this is the only one I have to actually override. Also, Elementor is trying to introduce their own version of theme styling, so it would reduce the possibility of a conflict.

  • Hey Petr,

The Blog Layouts feature for instance is optional already. Basically anything that’s untouched in the customizer won’t have any affect on the front-end of your website.

Same goes for the Typography settings. Those can actually be turned on individually (to some extent) and won’t leave any footprint if not configured.

We follow that logic for all our features.

    Best,
